Pairing & Connection​

  1. Launch the app and create an account or sign in.
  2. Select your language.
  3. Long-press the front button for 3 seconds to power on the device.
    • Confirmation: Buzzer sound + steady blue LED.
  4. Enable Bluetooth on your phone and select your device in the app. Add Your Device
  5. Tap "Start Using" to enter the main interface.

Power On/Off​

  • Long-press (3 seconds):
    • Turns the device on/off.
    • Feedback: Buzzer sound + steady blue LED (when powered on).

Start/Stop Recording​

  • Single press:
    • Starts or stops recording.
    • Feedback: Short vibration + single beep.
    • LED Status:
      • Blue (low): Not recording.
      • Blue (high): VAD (Voice Activity Detection) inactive.
      • Purple: VAD active (recording mode with audio input).

Local Storage Recording (Firmware v1.5.0+)​

  • Double press (when Bluetooth is disconnected):
    • Starts or stops recording to internal storage.
    • Feedback: Short vibration + single beep.
    • LED Status:
      • Blue (low): Not recording.
      • Blue (high): VAD inactive.
      • Purple: VAD active (recording mode with audio input).

OTA Updates​

  • Press 5 times quickly:
    • Checks for firmware updates.

      • Steady yellow: Checking for updates.

Internal Storage Recording​

Starting with firmware v1.5.0, the HA-MIC04 supports recording directly to its internal storage without requiring an active Bluetooth connection.

How to Use​

  1. Start Recording:

    • Ensure the device is powered on and Bluetooth is disconnected
    • Double-press the front button to start recording
    • Feedback: Short vibration + single beep
    • LED Status: Blue (high) when VAD is inactive, Purple when VAD is active
  2. Stop Recording:

    • Double-press the front button again
    • Feedback: Short vibration + single beep
    • Recording will be saved to internal storage

Accessing Recorded Files​

  1. Connect your HA-MIC04 to a computer using a USB cable
  2. The device will appear as a USB mass storage device (similar to a USB flash drive)
  3. Browse to the device and access your recorded audio files
  4. Copy files to your computer as needed

1. Connect to WiFi Configuration Portal​

  1. Visit https://hearit.ai/wifi/ in your web browser
  2. Enter your WiFi network name (SSID) and password
  3. Important: Make sure your WiFi network operates on the 2.4GHz frequency band

Regular firmware updates ensure your HA-MIC04 device operates with the latest features and optimizations. This section explains how to update your device's firmware over-the-air (OTA).

Prerequisites​

  • Your MIC04 device must be connected to a 2.4GHz WiFi network
  • Ensure your device has at least 50% battery charge
  • Make sure the device is within good WiFi signal range

Update Procedure​

1. Configure WiFi Connection​

Before updating firmware, make sure your device is properly connected to WiFi by following the WiFi Configuration instructions above.

2. Initiate Firmware Update​

  1. Ensure your device is powered on and connected to WiFi
  2. Quickly press the Front Button 5 times in succession
  3. The device will automatically check for available updates

3. Monitor Update Progress​

The LED indicator provides real-time feedback on the update process:
