1. Introduction

The HA-OWS03 is an open-ear true wireless stereo (TWS) earbud featuring Hearit.AI smart voice capabilities.

2. Quick Start Guide

Get set up quickly with the essentials from the user manual.

Step 1: Unboxing & Charging

  • Remove both earbuds and the charging cable from the package
  • Place the earbuds in the charging case and fully charge before first use
  • LED on the earbuds/case indicates charging status (turns off when fully charged)

Step 2: Power On & Pairing

  • Open the case or remove the earbuds; they power on automatically and enter pairing mode (LED flashing)
  • On your phone, enable Bluetooth and search for "HA-OWS03 XXXX" (XXXX = 4-digit ID), then tap to connect
  • If switching devices, disconnect from the previous device first
  • BLE control name shows as "HA-OWS03 LXXXX" (L = Low Energy BLE); audio shows as "HA-OWS03 XXXX"

Step 3: Basic Operations

  • Play/Pause / Answer/Hang up: Single tap either earbud
  • Track control: Double tap (left = previous, right = next)
  • Volume control: Triple tap (left = up, right = down)
  • AI Voice Assistant: Long press to activate Hearit.AI voice; release to stop
  • Factory reset: Tap 5 times to clear pairing records

4. Pairing Instructions

First-Time Pairing

  1. Remove both earbuds from the charging case
  2. Earbuds will power on automatically and enter pairing mode (LED flashing)
  3. Open Bluetooth settings on your phone and search for "HA-OWS03 XXXX" (XXXX is the device ID)
  4. Tap to connect and complete pairing

💡 Note: Each device has a unique 4-digit ID suffix, e.g., "HA-OWS03 5678". During BLE connection, it appears as "HA-OWS03 L5678" (L = BLE, Low Energy Bluetooth).

Connecting to a New Device

Disconnect from the current device, then search and connect from the new device. The earbuds only support one device connection at a time.

Reset When Left and Right Are Out of Sync

If the earbuds are out of sync (e.g., only one earbud has audio), follow these steps to reset:

  1. Factory reset both earbuds by tapping the touch area 5 times on each
  2. Place both earbuds back into the charging case
  3. Reopen the charging case, and the earbuds will automatically re-pair with each other
  4. Reconnect to your phone

Recommended method using browser Bluetooth.

Prerequisites

  • Browser: Chrome / Edge / Opera (Firefox, Safari not supported)
  • Firmware: download latest .ufw from https://firmware.hearit.ai/HA-OWS03
  • Power: earbuds out of the case, battery > 30%
  • Distance: keep earbuds close to laptop/phone for stable BLE

Update Steps

  1. Go to https://hearit.ai/ota/ in Chrome/Edge/Opera
  2. Remove both earbuds from the case and power on
    • Click Connect → select “HA-OWS03 LXXXX” (XXXX = device ID) → pair
  3. Click the firmware selection area → choose the .ufw you downloaded → confirm file name/size shows
  4. Click Start Update → wait until progress reaches 100% (do not close the tab or move out of range)
  5. Earbuds reboot automatically → reconnect for audio if needed (shows as HA-OWS03 XXXX)

Important Notes

  • Keep the browser tab open; do not disconnect Bluetooth during update
  • If one earbud drops connection, place both back in the case, reopen the lid, then retry
  • If earbuds are out of sync, tap the touch area 5 times on each to factory reset, then re-pair

6. Troubleshooting

Q: Earbuds won't connect to my phone?

A: Try tapping the touch area 5 times to factory reset, then re-pair.

Q: Audio out of sync between left and right?

A: Place both earbuds back in the charging case, then remove them to auto-sync.

Q: Touch controls not responsive?

A: Ensure the touch area is clean and dry. Moisture or dirt may affect sensitivity.

Q: OTA update failed?

A: Ensure earbuds have sufficient battery (>30%), use Chrome/Edge/Opera, keep earbuds close, and re-download the firmware from https://firmware.hearit.ai/HA-OWS03. If still failing, factory reset both earbuds (5x tap), place them in the case, then retry.

Q: Only one side has audio after update?

A: Factory reset both earbuds (5x tap), put them back in the case, reopen the lid to auto re-pair, then reconnect on your phone.

Q: Device not showing in browser for OTA?

A: Confirm Bluetooth is on, remove earbuds from the case, move them closer, refresh the page, and select the BLE name “HA-OWS03 LXXXX”. If still absent, factory reset (5x tap each) and retry.
